In February 2009, 22nd Carlisle Scout Group was officially re-opened after it was disbanded in 2001. This was a significant boost for Scouting in the Reivers District, Cumbria.
We
currently have Beaver, Cub and Scout sections with almost 40 children across
the age ranges.
The group takes part in a range of District and National Scouting events including raft races and Swimming Galas. The Cubs and Scouts have walked, climbed, cooked and camped. Camps involve both backpacking and static camping
and take place all year round.
In fact we aim to do more Nights Away
than most Scout Groups. Yes it's cold, but we have enjoyed it
regardless!
Other events have included survival and night walks at Talkin Tarn Country Park.
